Credentials
Founder Jane LaBelle
studied Qigong and Medical qigong in a three-year residential
program under the guidance of Arnold E. Tayam, DMQ (China) at
the Longevity Institute in San Jose, CA. This program
included training in Classical Chinese medicine taught by
Camille Vardy, L.Ac.
Jane is
also informed by D. Kay Hutchinson, advanced medical qigong
practitioner, acupressurist and founder of Aiki Healing in
Austin, TX.
Jane also
attended the renowned Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, CA,
and continues advanced studies.
Jane has
been a birth doula since January 2005 and is a member of DONA,
International, the certifying board for the doula profession.
She has also
holds a B.S. in Business Administration, and is a former
member of the Western Women’s Professional Bowling Assn.
Philosophy
Jane is
deeply committed to the process of growing toward balance in
her own personal life. As a mother of three active and
unique children (all boys ages 15, 13, and 8), she brings a
level of compassion and insightfulness to the journey of
parenthood, an understanding that helps deepen her work not
only as a doula but also as a practitioner of Chinese
medicine.
Jane enjoys
gardening, is a voracious reader, and enjoys expressing her
artistic side through the art of belly casting for her
pregnant clients. Ever curious with a deep interest in
spirituality, Jane is constantly seeking new ways to grow and
integrate all that she learns in this journey of life.
